Christian Heritage 503 is a three credit, one semester course intended to offer a brief and general survey of Baptist history, thought, and polity as they have developed from Baptists’ sixteenth-century backgrounds to the contemporary period.Emphasis is given to North American Baptist developments, particularly to the ABC-USA, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and African American Baptist denominations, but effort is also made to familiarize the learner with the global family of Baptists as well.
